Dear Marist School Community,
Our search for Marist School’s next President has reached a significant milestone, and last month the Search Committee held in-person interviews with six highly qualified semi-finalist candidates. After significant committee discussion, review of qualifications, and prayerful discernment, we are excited to share that two finalists have been invited to visit Marist School on November 9 and 10. The visit will provide the opportunity for additional Marist stakeholders to meet the candidates and a chance for both the Marist community and the candidates to determine a mutual fit.
It was evident to all members of the Search Committee that our finalists, while both from outside metro Atlanta, have a deep passion and understanding for Marist’s mission and the charism and spirituality of the Society of Mary. Either individual would bring considerable skills and expertise to lead Marist School into the future.
Each candidate will spend a full day on campus, individually meeting with students, faculty/staff, parents, alumni and friends, and the Board of Trustees. Feedback will be sought, and carefully weighed, from those meeting with the finalists to aid the Board of Trustees in their selection of Marist’s next President.
The Marist Board of Trustees, in collaboration with the Society of Mary, intends to share a final update on the search process in late November or early December. In the meantime, your continued prayers and support remain greatly appreciated.
Mary, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us.
Mike Cote
Chair, President Search Committee
Vice-Chair, Marist School Board of Trustees
